Your privacy matters to us
Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect and how it is used. It applies to online activities at nuvalaw.com. By using our website, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
Personal information
We request personal information at the point of collection. When you contact us directly, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, message contents, and any attachments you choose to send.
Account registration requests contact details including name, company, address, email address, and phone number. We only collect information that is necessary to provide our services effectively.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us to reply to you, to arrange and hold the conversation you asked for, and to keep a record of that correspondence. If you become a client, we use it to provide and support the service. We do not sell it, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested and a timestamp. This is how any website is delivered and protected from abuse, and it happens whether or not you interact with the site.
An IP address can count as personal data under UK GDPR. We do not use these logs to identify individuals, we do not combine them with any other information, and we do not build profiles from them. They are retained by our hosting provider under its own retention policy and are not used for analytics.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking services, and nothing on these pages profiles you or follows you to other sites. That is why you are not asked to accept anything when you arrive.
If you switch the site between light and dark appearance, that preference is saved by your own browser on your own device. It is never sent to us and we cannot read it.
Third parties
These pages load no third-party scripts, fonts or embedded content, so visiting the site does not disclose your visit to anyone else. Two exceptions are worth naming. Our hosting provider, Netlify, serves the site and handles contact form submissions on our behalf. The service status page embeds our monitoring provider, Site24x7, and only that page does so.
Links to other organisations' websites, including news coverage and our own help centre, are governed by their privacy policies rather than this one.
GDPR data protection rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- The right to access your personal data (free, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive)
- The right to correct inaccurate information
- The right to request erasure of your data (conditions apply)
- The right to restrict processing
- The right to object to processing
- The right to data portability
We will respond to any request within one month. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at data.protection@nuvalaw.com.
Children’s information
Nuvalaw does not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided such information on our website, please contact us immediately and we will remove it from our records.
